058. Raising Frequency and Vibrational Levels During Grief
Thursday Jun 06, 2024
Thursday Jun 06, 2024
Let’s talk good vibrations and high frequencies! This mindset shift and being aware of what we're talking about in this episode can be pivotal as we cope with the day-to-day complexities of grief, life after loss, and life in general.
Fun fact: this entire episode is based on one of my most popular blog posts! But I think this just goes to show how needed this conversation is.
The overarching goal of this episode is to understand frequency and vibrational levels overall, but especially as we grieve or go through a difficult time.
We’ll talk about:
What vibrational and frequency levels are and why they're important.
How keeping these things high can positively affect how we cope with grief and navigate life after loss.
20 ways that you can begin raising your frequency and vibrational levels.

054. 7 Reasons Why Alone Time is Important for Healing
Thursday May 09, 2024
Thursday May 09, 2024
Today I wanted to have a quick conversation about why alone time is important in our grieving journey, and in our healing journey. We're going to talk about seven reasons I feel this way, both as a Grief and Transformational Life Coach and a fellow griever.I know we can sometimes want to be surrounded by people as we're grieving, and I always encourage that! Having a solid support system is critical. But the thing is, the practice of embracing alone time can lead to self-reflection, introspection, and thinking about where our life was, where it is, and where we see it going. We can't always do that if we're inundated with other people, right? All I want you to do today—no matter where you fall on this spectrum of wanting people around you—is to hear me out on this topic. I think there is so much peace to be found when we have that time alone, and here we’ll talk about why!Work with me:

Thursday May 02, 2024
Thursday May 02, 2024
I am incredibly honored to share today's guest with you guys. I’ve been a fan of hers for a LONG time now, y’all! I connected with her through Instagram, back when I first started following her early in the days of Losses Become Gains. I absolutely fell in love with her content and her beautiful writing, and now I have the privilege of sharing her with YOU today!I have no doubt you are going to love her as well. Today, we are chatting with Michelle DeVille. She is a grief specialist, educator, coach, end of life doula (we get into what this is in this episode!), speaker, and writer. Here, she shares her profound story with us—and let me tell you, she has suffered a lot of loss of different kinds. But really, her message is so beautiful. Like most of us, she knows how paralyzing grief and loss can be. It's because of her own painful life experiences that she is dedicated to helping others, just like you, who are struggling and facing some of their most difficult season ever. She and I share the belief that we can't escape loss and grief, but we CAN choose how we live and love every single day. It all comes down to how we navigate it, how we cope, and how we can shift our perspective. This is such an empowering conversation. Get excited, my friends!Connect with Michele:Email: grief@micheledeville.com Website: www.micheledeville.com Instagram: @micheledeville

052. How to Cope with Insensitive Comments in Grief
Thursday Apr 25, 2024
Thursday Apr 25, 2024
As if grief isn't difficult enough, insensitive, ignorant, and unnecessary comments are, sadly, a common occurrence for so many of us. These kinds of remarks will likely come our way at some point as we're grieving.Things like…
You should be doing [fill in the blank].
You need to let it go.
People speaking on behalf of our loved one who has died, like putting words in their mouth about what they would be thinking, feeling, or saying.
Why are you dwelling on it?
You should get over it by now.
You should be moved on… why aren’t you moved on?
Do you think it’s healthy to think or talk about it this much?
And SO many more! So, I wanted to cover this topic because there are so many complexities to it. And the thing is, comments like this can really hurt, right?! They can even set us back in our grieving and healing journey.I want us to have a very open, honest, and raw conversation about it. And, of course, equip you with some tools and guidance on how to cope with this—and how to manage these comments—if this comes up as you’re trying to navigate your grief, life after loss, and everything in between.Work with me:Explore my Life With Grief membership: https://lossesbecomegains.com/membershipWork with me one-on-one: https://lossesbecomegains.com/work-with-tara

050. Our Traumatic Birth Story & A Lesson In Listening to Your Intuition
Thursday Apr 11, 2024
Thursday Apr 11, 2024
I can’t believe we’ve reached 50 EPISODES of the Life With Grief Podcast, my friends!
To commemorate this in a big way, I’m sharing a personal story that is close to my heart—the (very traumatic) birth story of our daughter, Audrey, in January 2024.
I have to be honest, I was really going back and forth on sharing this. There was definitely a time in the last two or three months where I didn’t want to relive this experience and wasn’t sure if I would ever feel comfortable talking about it.
But, I think it's an important story to share. Not only because I want to be very open and vulnerable with you and my grief journey, but this birth was such an important lesson in intuition for me.
I've always felt like I was a fairly intuitive person, but honestly, since the deaths of my parents and as I've continued to grow and become more introspective, I felt like this was such a beautiful example of that. I couldn’t not share it.
Had I not listened to my intuition, the outcome of our daughter's life would have been very different (in other words, she would not have survived). So, I’m honored and humbled to share this experience with you today…Leave me a voice note and be featured on the podcast! https://www.speakpipe.com/LifeWithGriefWork with me: Explore my membership: https://lossesbecomegains.com/membershipWork with me one-on-one: https://lossesbecomegains.com/work-with-tara

I’m so excited to introduce this “coaching series”! If you haven’t heard, you can now leave me a voice note at speakpipe.com/lifewithgrief.The purpose is to have a safe space where you can share what's on your heart and mind, ask a question for me to answer here on the podcast, or send a message of hope to fellow grievers. I'm so excited to make this a more regular thing, but of course, that means I want and need to hear from YOU in order to keep these coming!Today, we're going to be answering a question from a listener and talking about navigating feeling sad, lost, and hopeless in our grief—even when we feel like we're doing everything right (think: have the right job, living in a great place, traveling, socializing, eating healthy, exercising, etc.) In this episode, we'll talk about how to work through these feelings and cope with them so our grief and joy can co-exist peacefully.Leave me a voice note and be featured on the podcast! https://www.speakpipe.com/LifeWithGrief Work with me: Explore my membership: https://lossesbecomegains.com/membership Work with me one-on-one: https://lossesbecomegains.com/work-with-tara

What is Losses Become Gains?
After losing both of my parents to cancer within six months and my fur baby months later, there came a point in my journey of loss where I just knew all of this loss just couldn't be for nothing... it’s pretty simple, really. But getting to this point? Not so easy.
Eventually, I felt called to help people cope and get through their grief, too. I feel your pain, I see you, and I want to provide tools to help. After some time, I knew I had to take some action. Enter—Losses Become Gains.
The name Losses Become Gains came about because I knew, deep down somewhere, I knew there had to be more. A founding principle of LBG is to make this process as human to human as possible, because it's a very human thing to experience loss. This podcast felt like the next natural step.
We're all about learning, growing, and evolving. It’s about understanding our loss, our grief, how this has and will continue to affect us, and taking baby steps to move onward and upward from here. Is it minimizing or moving far away from who or what we’ve lost? Not at all. Really, it’s just comprehending how to find some semblance of peace and a level of acceptance with our losses. It’s how to turn these losses into gains, you feel me?
